Edward Adams - Accomplished University of Minnesota Law Professor

A globally recognized legal expert, Edward Adams serves as the director of professional development programs and the director of online technology and education at the University of Minnesota of Law School. Since joining the university in 1992, he has filled several leadership positions, including associate dean for academic affairs and Julius E. Davis Chair in Law. Edward Adams has worked extensively before and during his time at the University of Minnesota - his business achievements include establishing an applied materials company that achieved a public valuation of more than $250 million.

Edward Adams has published numerous books throughout his career, including Naked Power, Corporate Counselor’s Business Handbook, and numerous annual revisions to the Bankruptcy Practice Manual (West). He was the managing editor of the University of Chicago Law Review during his time as a law student. He is also an active contributor to many professional groups, including his position as a founder of the Chicago Bar Association Drafting Committee.

Edward Adams studied economics, business administration, and philosophy as an undergraduate at Knox College. After graduating magna cum laude, he completed a law program at the University of Chicago Law School, graduating cum laude. He is the co-chairman of the university’s class of 1988 alumni committee. He also holds a master of business administration with highest honors from the Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota.
